Joost van Bellen is nou typisch zo’n DJ die zich niet heeft vastgepind op één en hetzelfde truukje. Daar loopt hij al veel te lang voor mee. De ene keer gaat hij te gek op oude acid house (op de Oud Hollandsche Acid-feesten), de andere keer leeft hij zich uit met hippe UK Garage of doet hij mee aan een remix van de Mattheus Passie (echt!). RAUW is de uitlaatklep voor een stijldoorbrekende mash up van muziekjes die vooreen in parallelle universa leken te bestaan. Acid, rock, punk, funk, electro en wat al niet, op een RAUW-avond kun je het tegenkomen. Joost van Bellen is one of those DJ’s that do not restrict themselves to one single trick. One night he will play oldskool acid house (at the Oud Hollandsch Acid-parties), another he’ll go way out playing the latest UK garage or he will participate in a remix of the Mattheus Passion. RAUW is the outlet for a non style-restricted mash up of music types that previously seemed to exist only in parallel universes.
