Mambo
De grootste groep op het Noorderslagweekend is vermoedelijk El Tattoo
Del Tigre. Pakweg 28 Belgen met een multiculturele inslag bestormen
dan het podium, met de bedoeling om de kleurrijke tijden van het
Cuba (en omstreken) van vroeger te doen herleven. De mambo van de
beroemde bandleider Perez Prado is de voornaamste inspiratiebron.
Net zo kleurrijk als de muziek is de aankleding, zodat je ogen en
oren te kort zult komen bij dit spectaculaire gezelschap. Bij hun
derde optreden al, ruim voor er een plaat uit was, wonden ze het
Belgische Werchter-festival al om hun vingers.

Mambo
Undoubtedly the biggest group of the entire Noorderslag Weekend are
El Tattoo Del Tigre. A group of 28 Belgians of various origins will
take the stage in an ultimate attempt at making the colourful times
of the Cuba of the old days relive. Their main inspiration is famous
band leader Perez Prado’s mambo. El Tattoo Del Tigre’s
outfits are as colourful as their music, making their concerts a feast
for eyes and ears. Long before their first album they stunned the Belgian
audience at Werchter. It was only their third ever concert.
