aderen vloeit. Rose vereeuwigde de voorgeschiedenis van zijn circusfamilie
heel mooi op zijn vorige album Celtic Circus. Dat is een titel waaruit
blijkt dat hij zijn keltische achtergrond serieus neemt en als uitgangspunt
voor zijn muziek wil nemen. Hocus Pocus is dan ook deels opgenomen
in Ierland en Bretagne. Ook in zijn muziek klinkt dat verlangen
door, dankzij de inbreng van verscheidene muzikanten uit die respectievelijke
regio's die hun eigen muzikale tradities zeer toegedaan zijn. Goudeerlijke
muziek, gebaseerd op een rijk verleden.

not enough a guarantee for a blooming showbiz career, then the mixture
of Irish, Breton and Belgian forefathers should do the trick. Rose
has immortalised the family's circus history wonderfully on his
previous album Celtic Circus. The title shows that he takes his
Celtic background very seriously and that he uses it as a starting
point for his music. Hocus Pocus was partly recorded in Ireland
and Brittany. He uses various musicians from those regions who focus
strongly on the musical traditions of their homes. What you get
is honest music, based on a rich past.
