muzikant. Bij daglicht is hij Dan Snaith, na zonsondergang wordt
hij Manitoba. Deze jongeman uit Toronto is niet bedorven door de
pianolessen uit zijn jeugd, nee, die achtergrond benut hij net zo
hard als invloeden als hiphop, Beatles en Nick Drake. Als je elektronische
muziek maakt zijn dat niet de meest voor de hand liggende invalshoeken,
maar Manitoba is dan ook een man met karakter. Zijn debuut Start
Breaking My Heart staat vol zelfbedachte melodieën, elegant
gearrangeerd en krachtig uitgevoerd.

Manitoba. This young man from Toronto fortunately has not been spoilt
by the piano lessons he took when he was a boy. He uses this part
of his background just as much as hip hop, Beatles and Nick Drake.
Not the influences you'd expect when it comes to electronic music,
but then obviously Manitoba is a unique artist. His debut Start
Breaking My Heart is full of melodies the man composed himself,
elegant arrangements and powerful performances.
