… INS AND OUTS OF THE GERMAN MUSIC MARKET
Friday 7 January, 15.00, Kelder
How are artists and companies to approach the German market? What difficulties are to be expected when an (international) act is being launched? How to approach the media? How should a clip look like (and how shouldnšt it look like)? Emphasis on touring or emphasis on media? What role can conventions/festivals such as Popkomm play?
Moderator: Wim Reijnen (Van Records/Music Business Consultants)
Uli Grossmaas (Popkomm, D)
Lothar Surey (Rock Buro NRW, D)
More panelists to be confirmed.

THE SWEDISH SUCCES STORY
Friday 7 January, 17.00, Kelder
With impressive international succes for acts such as The Cardigans, Ace Of Base, Emilia, A-Teens and others, in Europe the Swedish music exports are second only to the British. In fact, the UK and Sweden are the only two European countries with a positive Œbalanceš between imports and exports. Is it their near-perfect grasp of the English language that makes the Swedes so succesfull? Is it the structure of the music scene? Sheer coincidence? Or does it all have to do with the famous/infamous A*** word?
Klaus Olson (Musikindustrin, S)
Dag Haeggqvvist (IFPI/Gazell Music, S)
Petri Lunden (Motor, S)
More panelists to be confirmed.

UK AGENTS AND THE EUROPEAN LIVE MUSIC MARKET
Saturday 8 January, 12.30 Blauwe Zaal
In the European live music circuit, English agents have traditionally been the most important go-betweens in the field. For a band or act often the only way to get a foothold in the international live music circuit, English agents are still usually the first to pick up a band breaking internationally. But independent agents in mainland Europe are starting to rear their ugly heads... How rosy is the future for the UK agents now that European artists find more and more support on the mainland.
Bernard Batzen (Azimuth, F)
Rob Berends (Paperclip, NL)
Petri Lunden (Motor, S)
Claudio Trotta (Barley Arts, I)
More panelists to be confirmed.

INS AND OUTS OF THE FRENCH MUSIC MARKET
Saturday 8 January, 14.00, Grijze Zaal
How are artists and companies to approach the French market? What difficulties are to be expected when an (international) act is being launched? How to approach the media? How should a clip look like (and how shouldnšt it look like)? Emphasis on touring or emphasis on media? What role can conventions/festivals such as Printemps de Bourges play?
Moderator: Wim Reijnen (Van Records/Music Business Consultants)
Fernando Ladeiro Marques (Printemps De Bourges, F)

More panelists to be confirmed.
